Jaguar XFX260 XF1 Feb 2016 JAGUAR’S XF large luxury sedan returned in its second generation with construction that depended heavily on aluminium, which saved as much as 190kg over the previous version. In addition to the significant weight loss, the range returned with a five-engine line-up. 2.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre diesel and petrol versions were carried over from the first-generation cars, but Jaguar’s frugal Ingenium 2.0-litre diesel replaced the outgoing 2.2-litre Ford unit. Luxury and Premium Luxury specification levels were replaced by Prestige and Portfolio variants. No XFR was offered to replace the previous fire-breathing supercharged V8 version, with the XF S diesel and petrol pair representing the flagship versions from launch. Read moreWhen it was new |
