With styling elements mixing the E-Type and stillborn F-Type, the XK of 1996 was met with praise and admiration worldwide - even though the chassis underneath was that of the 1975 Jaguar XJ-S coupe. At least the XK was also a close cousin of the beautiful Aston Martin DB-7.
