Jeep CherokeeKL Cherokee1 Jun 2014 The fourth-generation of Jeep Cherokee hit the Australian market in mid-2014, which also heralded a mix of four- and six-cylinder engines and automatic transmission across the board. Jeep tweaked the looks on the Cherokee, with softer styling, and improved fuel economy in its off-roading range. The Cherokee arrived with a choice of two engines across four variants, a 2.4-litre 130kW/229Nm four-cylinder petrol engine and a 200kW/316Nm 3.2-litre V6. Jeep added a new diesel variant to its Cherokee line-up in August 2014, packing a 2.0-litre diesel, with idle-stop technology, which brought down fuel consumption to 5.8-litres per 100km.
