Mahindra GenioThird-gen Genio1 Oct 2017 In October 2017 Mahindra updated the Genio ute range with a Euro 5 emissions compliant diesel engine and dropped four-wheel-drive variants, leaving the line-up with a simple choice of single- or dual-cab bodystyles. The Indian brand’s updated 88kW/280Nm 2.2-litre four-cylinder mHAWK turbo-diesel gained no additional performance and remained solely available with a five-speed manual. Combined-cycle fuel consumption reduced to 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres on the single-cab and 8.1L/100km on the dual-cab, these respective savings of 0.4L/100km and 0.5L/100km due in part due to the introduction of an idle-stop system.
