Suzuki LianaLiana Series II1 Aug 2004 In early ’04 a significantly revised Liana GS landed, spearheaded by a larger engine (92kW/170Nm 1.8 VVT – with variable valve timing), along with a redesigned interior boasting better seats, a new (though more conventional) dash and improved audio, plus anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, fog lights, and alloy wheels. Then just six months later a minor front facelift, featuring new lights, grille and bumpers, redesigned hatch taillights and alloy wheels and improved audio, arrived. The GS model was dropped but its body kit and extra features remained on models now simply known as the Liana hatch and sedan. For 2007 Suzuki's slow-selling Liana has come in for a price realignment in an effort to increase its popularity. Now priced from $17,888, more than $2000 less than its previous base price of $19,990, the Liana sedan and hatch is now claimed to be one of the best value for money vehicles in the small passenger car segment. Standard features continue to include air-conditioning, power steering/windows/mirrors, remote keyless entry, a sports bodykit, foglights, alloy wheels and a seven-speaker/six-CD sound system with remote controls. Standard safety equipment comprises ABS, EBD, twin front airbags and five three-point seatbelts. When it was new |
