Ferrari flicked its FF nameplate in June 2017 and replaced it with a heavily revised model called the GTC4Lusso. Although it would still be the Italian car-maker’s four-wheel drive four-seat model, new exterior styling would also be met with an overhauled interior design.

A squared-off front grille joined a new quad tail-light treatment including an integrated lip spoiler for the three-door hatchback, while inside a 10.25-inch touchscreen would be the cabin centrepiece, complete with a processer eight times quicker than before.

The 6.3-litre V12 engine would remain, however it now featured an additional 21kW/14Nm over the FF, with 507kW/697Nm mated to a revised seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. It delivered a three-tenths-faster 3.4-second 0-100km/h claim and claimed combined cycle fuel consumption reduced by 0.4L to 15.0 litres per 100 kilometres. For the first time a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8, rear-wheel-drive model, called GTC4Lusso-T, followed in late 2017.

While the 47:53 front-rear weight distribution would remain unchanged, the 4RM Evo all-wheel drive system now worked with a new Slip Slide Control traction control system and a four-wheel steering system for the first time.
