Future models - Holden - Commodore - VEDenny on VE: Feelin' okay!Holden boss says fuel prices make him cautiously optimistic about VE Commodore sales16 Jun 2006 HOLDEN chairman Denny Mooney revealed last week that he was "cautiously optimistic" about the sales prospects of the forthcoming VE Commodore, which is due on sale in August. "You know, it won’t get to the historical levels in my mind," he admitted. "But I still expect it to get to the levels we need, and I am cautiously optimistic – it’s the term I would use – because I know how good the car is. "Commodore is still the best-selling passenger car in the country in the ninth year into its lifecycle, and there are lots out there, so I expect there will still be a pretty strong market for this car. "I don’t know what’s going to happen to oil and petrol (prices), and some of the publicity that goes along with the price of oil and all, so all I can be is cautiously optimistic and hope for the best."
