New-look MDX hit US

HONDA has released an upgraded version of its MDX in North America, with shipments to Australia of the Canadian-built prestige 4WD wagon expected to commence soon.

Known at the Pilot in the US, the model year 2006 MDX has a revised front and rear-end designed to accentuate the "Honda truck" family appearance and also benefits from the addition of new noise-dampening materials.

There is more standard equipment onboard, as well as a revised instrument panel design and new seat fabrics.

Also depending on the variant is a navigation system with voice recognition and a rear-view camera, standard three-row curtain airbags and new wheel designs.
