Future models - Porsche - PanameraFirst look: Porsche presents PanameraPorsche begins its slow-release reveal campaign for next year’s four-door Panamera17 Sep 2008 PORSCHE has commenced its official marketing campaign for the four-door Panamera grand tourer that will go on sale globally next year, by revealing its fourth model line via a photograph that shows the front-end of the four-seat GT. Lightly disguised images of entire prototypes, from both front and rear angles, during testing in the US desert and Northern Hemisphere snow have also been officially presented for the first time on a dedicated internet microsite (www.porsche.com/panamera) developed for the new model. Porsche said this week that the next “highlight” would be an advertising campaign - commencing on October 20 - in specific markets, offering another limited preview of the Panamera. It describes the Panamera as a “family-friendly” Gran Turismo that benefits from 60 years of sports car-making knowledge. “Precisely this know-how and driving dynamics are combined in the Panamera with superior driving comfort and the Panamera’s very special space concept for four adults, making the new Panamera the ideal family-friendly Gran Turismo without the slightest compromise,” says Porsche. Presented in a podcast under the marketing slogan “the fourth dimension”, the Panamera testing footage is accompanied by videos of Ferdinand Porsche stressing his company’s independence, images of the Liepzig factory at which the Panamera will be built and a look at the history of the 1950s Carrera Panamericana road race from which the model takes its name. Clearly directed at an American audience, the Panamera footage is supported by promotional voice-over that claims Porsche will bring sports car technology to the luxury segment with its newest model. “Four seats, four doors. The new Panamera: a premium-class gran turismo and a genuine Porsche through and through,” says the video. “The Panamera combines a spacious interior with the dynamic look of a sports car. Its body is sleek and wide and as breathtaking as its performance. Its comfort levels, despite all its sportiness, are high. “Typical Porsche features such as performance and driving dynamics on the one hand, and long-distance comfort and suitability for everyday use on the other, ensure that the Panamera remains faithful to its roots. “It’s about driving once again – in the original sense. Regardless of whether you sit in the front or the back, it’s about a new definition of the four-door, four-seat theme. It’s about sports car technology in the premium class. “We went to the absolute limits to establish that luxury and sportiness are not mutually exclusive.” Read more:Hybrid to join Panamera's V10All future modelsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chery Brabham Chrysler Chevrolet Cupra Citroen DS Dodge Fiat Ferrari Foton Ford Great Wall FPV Haval GWM Honda Holden Hummer HSV Infiniti Hyundai Jaguar Isuzu Kia Jeep Land Rover Lamborghini Lexus LDV Mahindra Lotus Mazda Maserati Mercedes-AMG McLaren MG Mercedes-Benz Mitsubishi Mini Opel Nissan Peugeot Pagani Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen Panamera pricing
