Future models - Scion - T2BFirst look: Scion t2BThere's a new one straight out of the box for Toyota's youth brand8 Apr 2005 By TERRY MARTIN THE world debut of the Scion t2B (Tall Two-Box) concept car at the New York motor show carried some extra interest for Australians after GoAuto revealed last November that the Gen Y-oriented Toyota brand was under consideration for Australia. The four-seater wagon shows how the next-generation xB version could look and carries some innovative ideas such as foregoing B-pillars and doorhandles for a large, single remote-controlled power sliding door on the passenger side and two remote-controlled suicide doors that swing open 180 degrees on the other flank. Resting on an all-new platform (and 2700mm wheelbase), the t2B gets its momentum from a 2.4-litre inline-four engine matched with a four-speed automatic transmission.
