ForTwo on cue

THE new-generation Smart ForTwo remains on schedule for a European launch in the first half of next year – and in Australia late in 2007 – despite overseas reports suggesting the Mercedes-built micro car was being brought forward.

DaimlerChrysler Australia Pacific has confirmed that it is "pencilled in" to receive cars built in June/July 2007, with timing on the car’s launch Down Under subject to Australian design rule certification.
