New models - Honda - Accord - VTiCurtain airbags for base Honda AccordHonda’s big Accord now comes with side curtain airbags as standard across the range25 Jan 2010 HONDA Australia has made side curtain airbags standard across its Accord range, matching large sedan rivals such as Holden’s Commodore, Ford’s Falcon and the Toyota Aurion. Already standard in the mid-range VTi-L and flagship V6L models, curtain airbags are now fitted for free in the entry-level Accord VTi. For 2010 the Accord VTi-L and V6L also gain the ability to open the windows and sunroof via the key fob – without switching on the engine. Other 2010 model-year changes include revised air-conditioning controls across the range, which are claimed to improve dashboard functionality. There are no other changes to the Accord’s specifications, which continue to comprise standard electronic stability and traction control and the choice of 133kW 2.4-litre four-cylinder or 202kW 3.5-litre V6 petrol engines. Also unchanged is an opening price of $32,490 for the VTi, extending to $38,990 for the VTi-L and $49,990 for the top-shelf V6L. The entry-level V6 version has been discontinued.
