New models - LDV - Deliver 9LDV upgrades Deliver 9 van, cab-chassis and busValue added Euro 6 and ANCAP Gold compliant LDV Deliver 9 models arrive6 Sep 2024 LDV Automotive (Light Delivery Vehicle) has announced a “next generation” mechanical and feature upgrade of the Deliver 9 van, cab-chassis and bus line up accompanied by a price rise of between $790 and $4685, model dependent.
The $4685 hit is to the popular long wheelbase mid-roof Deliver 9 van taking it from the current $46,305 drive away to the new price of $50,990 drive away.
All other models rise in price by varying degrees offset by what LDV says is value packed upgrades delivering an increase in power, a raft of technical changes and an improved suite of safety features “to help cement its position as one of the best value van and bus ranges on the market today”.
Significantly, the headline changes include a gold rating in ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison coupled with a new seven-year/200,000km warranty and the adoption of a Euro 6 compliant diesel engine.
All of the above gives LDV importer Ateco Automotive confidence the Deliver 9 van cab/chassis and bus remains highly competitive in their respective segments.
“Commercial vehicles are the bread and butter of our business so it’s critical we continue to innovate and improve our product offering,” says Dinesh Chinnappa, general manager LDV Automotive.
“These significant model year changes; the improved warranty, the improved safety rating and sharp driveway pricing along with capped price servicing we can ensure fleet buyers have the fullest picture of just how competitive LDV commercial vehicles are.”
The MY24 Deliver 9 range is visually differentiated by a new gloss black radiator grille in front of the new Euro 6 compliant 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine with the tighter regulations due to come into force on December 1, 2025 imposing strict limits on the release of certain harmful gases and particulate matter, particularly nitrogen oxides (NOx) and hydrocarbons.
To meet Euro 6 compliance, diesel passenger vehicles must not emit more than 80mg/km of NOx gases, while diesel light commercial vehicles must not exceed 125mg/km.
The cleaner engine yields an appreciable rise in power and torque now rated at 128kW and 420Nm, a 20kW power increase and 45Nm more torque compared to the previous Deliver 9.
LDV Automotive says the power and torque increase gives the new Deliver 9 improved driving dynamics further bolstered by the use of an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, lifted from the new T60 Max Plus one tonne ute, which facilitates the transfer of this additional power to the rear wheels.
The MY24 Deliver 9 van and bus models have also been boosted with standard safety features including blind spot detection, lane change assist, door opening warning, emergency lane keeping, electronic park brake, and front parking sensors
The upgrades have facilitated a better safety rating recently assessed by ANCAP that propelled the Deliver 9 van from its previous bronze rating to a gold rating (scoring 74 per cent) in ANCAP’s Commercial Van Safety Comparison segments.
A new electric power steering system is installed designed to aid tight turns and parking and is attached to a new multifunction tiller. On the move, a new adaptive cruise control with stop and go functionality makes an appearance.
Numbered among other interior upgrades are a new upgraded 12.3-inch infotainment system (up from 10.1-inch on MY23 vehicles) complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital radio and a high-definition rear view camera (not available in the cab chassis variant).
Long wheelbase medium and high roof vans also feature 236-degree opening cargo doors as standard.
Similar changes have been affected across the LDV 11, 12 and 14-seater bus line up.
“LDV is building a firm reputation in the fleet space, and the recognition by ANCAP in its awarding of a gold rating for MY24 Deliver 9 van is further proof we have a competitive offering,” said Mr Chinnappa.
“We continue to deliver exactly what Australian businesses need in 2024 – safety, space, technology, and value-for-money.”
MY24 Deliver 9 variants are available across van, bus and cab chassis models within a growing LDV commercial vehicle range
