PORSCHE has lowered the admission price of its four-door Panamera grand tourer in Australia by more than $77,000, with the introduction of entry-level petrol V6 models from July.

Powered by Porsche’s own direct fuel-injection (DFI) 3.6-litre V6, which develops 220kW and 400Nm of torque and comes as standard with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK automated manual transmission, the rear-drive six-cylinder variant reduces Panamera pricing to less than $200,000 for the first time, at $193,000.

Meanwhile, commanding a lower $11,400 price premium over the base Panamera than the V8 all-wheel drive Panamera 4S does over its rear-drive sibling, the Panamera 4 will be priced at $204,400.

The two V6 variants, which will make their global debut at the Beijing motor show in Chian next week, bring to five the number of Panamera models available.

Porsche says both models return combined average fuel consumption of less than 10L/100km, with the Panamera producing average CO2 emissions of 213 grams per 100km and the Panamera 4 emitting 220g/km.

“This V6 has been designed by Porsche specifically for the Panamera,” said Porsche Cars Australia managing director Michael Winkler. “It has the power and refinement our customers expect, yet at the same time delivers excellent fuel economy and low CO2 emissions.”

In order for us to effect a lead you must you must complete a New Car Lead Enquiry (“Enquiry”).
We will call you as soon as possible after you complete the Enquiry and certainly no later than the next business day. When we call, we will discuss with you your new car requirements.
You consent to our passing on the Enquiry and your requirements to an appropriate authorised motor car dealer as a lead.
We will contact you again in approximately eight days following your initial enquiry to check on the progress of the Enquiry.
While we will provide the dealer with the Enquiry and details of your new car requirements, we take no responsibility for what happens after passing on that material as a lead.
You acknowledge that we are a new car information service providing new car editorial information, pictures and prices to our customers as a guide only.
