Proton Australia introduces driveaway pricing for its popular Jumbuck ute4 Apr 2005 PROTON has slapped drive-away pricing onto its Jumbuck micro-ute, which retails from $15,990 for the GLi and tops out at $17,990 for the GLSi. Billed as "Australia’s most economical utility" with lab-test fuel consumption figures pointing to 8.5 litres per 100km, the 1.5-litre ute found around 740 homes last year, up from 695 in 2003. It is currently trading at around the same mark in 2005, averaging circa 60 sales per month.
