The SportLine versions are priced at $4000 more than the regular variants and add a number of visual flairs inside and out. SportLine variants gain 20-inch Vega anthracite alloy wheels and the SportLine design package, which includes blacked out door mirrors, roof rails, window frames, ceiling trim, radiator grille frame, body coloured side panel and a unique Velvet Red paint colour. Inside the SportLine gains Alcantara leather sports seats with silver stitching, Alcantara upholstery in the door panel, aluminium finish accelerator, SportLine logos and decorative front and rear door sill trims, a customisable performance monitor, drive mode selector, electric driver’s seat with memory function, auto dimming folding side mirrors and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The SportLine package can be optioned on both variants, including the 132kW/320Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and 140kW/400Nm oil-burner of identical displacement. Both variants employ a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels. Two option packs are available across the range – the Tech pack for $2600 and Luxury pack, which costs regular Kodiaq buyers $4900, down to $3400 for the SportLine. The Kodiaq follows the launch of the Superb SportLine early last year that added goodies onto the top-spec 206TSI 4x4. Skoda has sold 201 examples of the Kodiaq in the first two months of 2018, comfortably behind segment leaders such as the Toyota Prado (2492), Toyota Kluger (2317) and Subaru Outback (1666). It recorded 630 total sales in the six months it was on sale in 2017.
