Celebration: Only 1000 of the 50th Anniversary LandCruiser 100 Series wagons will be built.
TOYOTA has launched a value pack edition of the LandCruiser 100 Series to round out its three-Cruiser family of 50th anniversary celebration models.
A 78-series workhorse and a Prado wagon had been previously released by Toyota to celebrate 50 years since the launch of the LandCruiser brand.
The new limited edition model - 1000 are being built - is based on the volume-selling eight-seat LandCruiser GXL petrol (manual and automatic) and GXL diesel manual.
Recommended retail prices are $59,320 for the petrol manual model and $62,110 for the petrol automatic model. The six-cylinder diesel manual has a recommended retail price of $61,490.
Two exterior colour combinations are offered - Powder White with Light Greyish Beige bumpers and Aqua Metallic with Pewter bumpers.
Exterior appointments include "Royale" alloy wheels, side protection moulding, front fog lamps, chrome radiator grille, headlamp covers and a "50th Anniversary" badge.
Inside, the 50th Anniversary LandCruiser 100 Series has the additional features over LandCruiser GXL of Moquette velour seat material, floor mats, door courtesy safety lamps, driver's seat vertical height adjustment and second-row seat centre armrest.
In addition, the 50th Anniversary limited edition model has a three-in-one audio system with six-CD in-dash multi-changer.
This audio system replaces GXL's three-in-one audio system original equipment with a single CD player.
The limited edition 50th Anniversary LandCruiser retains the LandCruiser 100 GXL standard features of dual SRS airbags, full-time 4WD with centre differential lock, limited slip rear differential, power-assisted steering, ABS anti-skid brakes with linear G-sensor, aluminium side steps, power windows with driver's auto down, power mirrors and remote central locking.
