Autocare training convention ready to go

Australia’s largest automotive training convention heads to Brisbane June 9-10

26 May 2023

AUTOCARE 2023, Australia’s largest automotive training convention, is headed to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on June 9-10.

Technicians and workshop owners from across the country are preparing to attend the event, which is said to offer comprehensive training covering the most important industry topics and a free to industry trade show featuring 100 of Australia’s best brands.

Sponsored by mycar Tyre & Auto, Autocare 2023 will include a dedicated Technical Training Program sponsored by Auto Tech as a major drawcard. The sessions are said to give technicians cutting edge techniques and tips to more efficiently diagnose, service and repair the latest vehicles, and prepare them for the EV future.

Topics include hybrid and EV servicing, Pass Thru technology, EV safety, high-voltage battery management, oscilloscopes, EGR systems, fuel injection systems, exhaust after treatment, diesel specific diagnostics and much more.

Among the experts gathered for Autocare 2023 is renowned aftermarket diagnostic specialist Brandon Steckler.

Mr Steckler is a qualified Master Technician and a world-renowned trainer, author and speaker. As an instructor at CarQuest Technical Institute and WorldPAC Training Institute and Technical Editor for Motor Age magazine, he is said to be the perfect fit for Autocare 2023.

Organisers say Mr Steckler’s sessions will be highly sought-after for service and repair professionals looking to fast-track their ability to efficiently diagnose and troubleshoot fault codes, failures and errors relating to modern vehicle functionality.

“We are delighted to have Brandon Steckler join Autocare 2023,” said Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association chief executive, Stuart Charity.

“Brandon is a highly respected technician and trainer and his expertise in diagnostics, along with his passion for education will be a valuable addition to all in attendance at Autocare.

“Brandon is one of many industry specialists chosen as the best in their fields to speak at Autocare on a range of important topics across both technical and management areas. We are pulling out all stops to ensure Autocare is an unmissable industry event and Brandon’s inclusion is another great reason to invest in your future at Autocare 2023.”

Further, Autocare’s Workshop Management Program sponsored by Repco Authorised Service will help workshop managers and owners increase their workshop efficiency, sustainability and profitability.

Sessions cover the future of the aftermarket, emerging vehicle tech opportunities, relationship building, customer service excellence, digital marketing, cyber-security, mastering difficult conversations, business planning and environmental sustainability.

The event’s organisers say the list of industry experts assembled to lead the training sessions at Autocare is unrivalled, adding that the best business leaders and world-renowned technical trainers will combine to impart practical knowledge and the latest techniques from their own real-world experience and success to greatly benefit all in attendance.

“Autocare has been developed by the industry, for the industry and is an unprecedented opportunity to learn from the best, on the topics that matter,” added Mr Charity.

The free-to-industry Autocare Trade Show will allow automotive trade visitors to get hands on with the latest technology, equipment and tools from all the best brands.

A dedicated Training Stage will also provide visitors a small taste of the comprehensive paid Autocare Training Programs thanks to informative training sessions from leading experts related to both workshop management and technical training.
