After missing out on the fifth-generation ES due to left-hand-drive-only production, Lexus Australia reintroduced the model in sixth-gen guise in 2013 to satisfy its more traditional customers.
The ES gained a striking new design and was offered in 300h hybrid guise, powered by a 118kW/213Nm 2.5-litre petrol engine and 105kW/270Nm electric drive motor producing a maximum combined output of 151kW, matched with a continuously variable transmission.
It was also offered in ES350 spec, using a 204kW/346Nm 3.5-litre VVT-i V6 petrol engine, mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission. Both the 300h and 350 were available in Luxury or Sports Luxury specifications.
