Subaru and Toyota’s collaboration produced the 86 and BRZ twins, with the Subaru BRZ launching in July 2012, a month after the 86.
The BRZ was available in one specification only and a higher pricetag than the Toyota.
Powered by a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated boxer engine based on the unit from the Subaru Impreza, the BRZ was capable of producing 147kW and raced from zero to 100km/h in 7.6 seconds.
