Honda Accord EuroMk7 Accord Euro Series II1 Dec 2005 By CHRIS HARRIS A minor facelift, the Euro Series II saw redesigned front and rear bumpers and a new grille, while a new trip computer display panel and the option of satellite navigation were incorporated inside. Two popular models continued to be offered – the base model and the Sport Luxury, both powered by a 140kW/223Nm 2.4-litre DOHC 16V VTEC four-cylinder engine mated to a five-speed automatic or six-speed manual gearbox. For 2007 HONDA Australia is giving its ageing Accord Euro a push with the limited-edition (1200 units) Tourer. Not be confused with the Tourer wagon version of the Accord Euro not sold in Australia, the Tourer sedan is based on the entry-level four-door and adds satellite-navigation, foglights and rear parking sensors. Honda claims the items would push up the baseline Accord Euro’s price by $4000, but the Tourer sedan costs only $1000 more, starting from $35,990. Auto adds $2000. The second-generation Accord Euro is expected to debut inside the next 12 months. When it was new |
