W176 Series II A-Class

1 Jan 2016

MERCEDES released a facelifted version of the W176 in early 2016, bringing with it standard adaptive dampers to help sooth the hard ride.

Visually the changes were limited to a “diamond-cut” grille, reshaped bumpers, LED headlights on 4Matic models, fresh tail-light lenses with optional LED inserts, and a different rear diffuser with integrated exhaust outlets.

A fixed 8.0-inch screen (an inch bigger than before) Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink capability, better quality materials, revised instrumentation markings, galvanised switchgear, and an adjustable front-seat cushion rounded out the alterations inside.

Finally, the A250 Sport 4Matic gained a bit more power, as did the AMG A45 4Matic flagship, while Mercedes updated some of its driver-assist tech.
