Mercedes-Benz V-Class

W447 V-Class

1 May 2015

Mercedes-Benz discontinued its Viano people-mover and instead replaced it with the V-Class in May 2015, which was forecasted to be popular among limousine operators.

The eight-seater arrived as a premium offering complete with a leather-appointed interior, 16-speaker Burmester surround sound system, ambient lighting and the German brand's Comand infotainment set-up.

It traded in the Viano's 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 for a 2.1-litre BlueTec turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine which produced 140kW and 440Nm. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission was standard fair.

A five-star ANCAP safety rating was once again touted, as well as the multi-purpose vehicle's class-leading dynamics.
