Peugeot 307307 CC1 Feb 2004 By CHRIS HARRIS The smaller 206 CC’s folding hardtop roof-led success prompted Peugeot to go the same way for the replacement of the beautiful 306 Cabriolet. The result is the 307 CC, a large four-seat Coupe-Convertible aimed at filling the gap between the smaller CCs and the popular Saab 9-3 Convertible. Two 2.0-litre DOHC 16V four-cylinder models are available – the 100kW/190Nm Dynamic in five-speed manual or four-speed automatic guises, or the more luxurious manual-only 130kW/202Nm Sport. Peugeot dumped its French roof-mechanism supplier for Mercedes’ German one, but some overseas reports still report operational failures and the occasional leak. Read moreWhen it was new |
