The Alfa Romeo 4C was launched in Australia in February 2015 in two variants a standard version and a limited Launch Edition.
Built around a carbon chassis in Modena, Italy, it was powered by 1.8-litre direct-injection all-alloy four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that was shared with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV, and produced 177kW and 350Nm.
The two-seater tipped the scales at 1025kg and drove the rear wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and electronically controlled rear differential.
Alfa claimed the 4C could accelerate from zero to 100km/h in a claimed 4.5 seconds, on its way to a 257km/h top speed.
The Spider versions arrived late in 2016.
