MERCEDES-BENZ is bracing itself against the next-generation Lexus GS and Honda Legend – as well as the upcoming, re-engined 190kW BMW 530i and recently released Audi A6, with a sparkling new 3.5-litre V6 that has the technology, power and efficiency to make it a modern classic. It may even be enough for the W211 E-Class to keep its luxury segment crown.
