Future models - Lotus - Exige - Sport 240Sydney show: Lotus turns it up to 11Wild new 2-Eleven racer and Oz-only Exige Sport 240 push Lotus to the limit in Sydney11 Oct 2007 LOTUS presented an Australia-only Exige and a red-hot track weapon at the Australian International Motor Show in Sydney today. The British brand rolled out its most extreme vehicle yet, the 2-Eleven. It cannot be road registered, but the slight supercar is bound for success on the track with 188kW of power and a kerb weight of just 745kg. Indeed, the 2-Eleven is made for racing with bolt-on plastic panels, a carbon-fibre wing, six-point cage, AP four-piston front brakes and Ohlins adjust coil-over shock absorbers. It is not cheap, however, with a sticker price of $127,500. Lotus also presented the limited-edition Exige Sport 240, which has been developed exclusively for Australia, with a series of performance upgrades including 10 per cent more power for a total of 179kW. Other upgrades include an adjustable traction control system, upgraded brakes, OZ forged alloy wheels and a more prominent roof-mounted airscoop. Only six Sport 240s will be produced initially at a cost of $149,990.
