Following the introduction of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and the B-Class' first direct rival, Mercedes returned fire at the Bavarian brand with an update to its interpretation of the tall-boy hatchback segment.
The B-Class facelift brought more "organic and dynamic" styling on the outside as well as more colour and trip options for the interior, which was highlighted by a new freestanding eight-inch display screen.
Power and fuel efficiency remained unchanged for the whole four-variant range, except the B180, which maintained the same 115kW/250Nm output but cut fuel consumption by 0.3 litres per 100km to 5.5L/100km.
