Mercedes-Benz introduced a facelifted version of its SLK roadster in September 2016, but the new model came with one very important difference – a name change to SLC.
The new moniker better reflected the two-door hardtop's close relationship with the C-Class, for whom it shared most of its underpinnings.
Aside from the alternative moniker, the update brought two new engine options, improved safety technology and a redesigned diamond radiator grille.
Headlining the range was the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, which eschewed its SLK 55 predecessor's 5.5-litre atmo V8 for a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 – seeing outputs drop to 270kW/520Nm from 310kW/540Nm.
