New models - Holden - MonaroMonaro’s limited edition on sale in MayHolden reveals more details of the CV8-R Monaro - and the price16 Apr 2004 HOLDEN has revealed further details of its 2004 limited edition Monaro CV8-R, which goes on sale at the end of May. Finished in exclusive ‘pulse red’ paint, only 320 CV8-Rs will be built. At $60,990, the recommended retail price of the CV8-R coupe is $1040 more than the standard Holden CV8. Based on the Series III Monaro CV8, the 2004 CV8-R comes with a choiceof manual or automatic transmission, matched to a 245kW 5.7 litre Gen III V8. Externally, the Monaro CV8-R is distinguished by 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels, front and rear lights with silver vision globes, black bezels on rear lights, black chrome exterior badging and a CV8-R decklid badge. A Holden By Design electric sunroof is included as standard. Inside, unique treatments include centre fascia and instrument surrounds in satin finish and pulse red and black floormats with CV8-R logo in pulse red. The instrument cluster in white dial-plate features daytime illumination. The steering wheel, handbrake and transmission selectors are covered in Anthracite leather (matching the sports seat and door trim) with perforated leather inserts and black stitching. There is a space saver spare wheel.
