New models - Skoda - OctaviaSkoda introduces Octavia SportLine at Style pricingLate February deliveries slated for highly equipped Skoda Octavia SportLine26 Jan 2024 By MATT BROGAN SKODA has announced details of its inbound Octavia SportLine this week, the model priced identically to the current Octavia Style (from $40,590 plus on-road costs), but with some 15 exterior, interior and chassis enhancements.
In Liftback form, Skoda Australia will offer the Octavia SportLine from $42,490 drive-away and the Octavia SportLine Wagon (RRP $41,890) from $43,990 drive-away. Deliveries are expected to commence in late February.
The model is characterised by a gloss-black grille, wing mirror caps, badging, and rear spoiler, the Wagon adding gloss-black roof rails. A rear diffuser, front spoiler, matte-black window framing, dual exhaust tips, and front fender SportLine badging are also offered.
Inside the SportLine grade adds a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifts, sports comfort front seats with integrated head restraints, aluminium pedals, and black roof lining and pillar trim.
Otherwise, the SportLine variant shares features found on the Octavia Style including 18-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights with adaptive high-beam, front and rear acoustic parking sensors, park assist, side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, heated wing mirrors with auto dimming function (driver’s side), powered tailgate, keyless entry and ignition, dual-zone climate control, 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit instrumentation, and a 10.0-inch infotainment array with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Optionally, a panoramic sunroof is available on Wagon variants for $1900 and a Premium Pack – incorporating emergency assist, adaptive lane guidance, DAB+ digital radio reception, power adjustable front seats, heated front and outboard rear seats, tri-zone climate control, and additional USB-C outlets – for $3200.
Premium paint attracts a $770 surcharge with Velvet Red adding $1170 to the list price. A five-year/75,000km service bundle may be added for $2450 or a seven-year/105,000km option for $2800. The latter equates to $400 per scheduled service.
Skoda has further enhanced the response of the steering and chassis of the Octavia SportLine with 15mm lowered sports suspension and a new Drive Mode selector with Eco, Normal and Sport modes.
The model continues to be powered by the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and eight-speed automatic transmission combination found in the Style variant. It outputs 110kW of power and 250Nm of torque.
As with all Skoda passenger models, the Octavia is backed by a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty and available capped-price servicing pack. Skoda further offers guaranteed future value and finance offers, starting from $114/week (at 6.99 per cent / per annum).
“The most popular Octavia in Australia is the RS Wagon with all the options, so it is a design, dynamics and value win for Skoda customers to be offered the Octavia SportLine for the same price as the Octavia Style,” said Skoda Australia head of marketing and product Kieran Merrigan.
“The SportLine builds on the extensive features set of the Style while combining with Skoda’s European-best ownership proposition of a seven-year, unlimited kilometre warranty and optional seven-year service pack offer.
“The Octavia SportLine follows the high-value lead of the Kamiq run-out and new Karoq SUVs released over the past two months, offering customers in key segments a new range of affordable, high-quality, dynamic European offerings.”
