News - General NewsIsuzu Ute Australia program nominatedIUA gains AITD recognition for Technical Pathway Program training program25 Sep 2024 AN IN-HOUSE technical training program developed by Brisbane-based automotive brand Isuzu Ute Australia (IUA), which sells the D-Max ute and MU-X SUV locally, has been recognised as one of the country’s best, named a finalist in the annual Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD) Awards.
The not-for-profit AITD is a “community” where learning and development professionals find a premium peer network, extensive resources and contemporary learning with the aim of empowering members who build thriving, adaptable workforces and rewarding careers.
IUA’s Technical Pathway Program was nominated for the first time since the program commenced in 2022 and is the only automotive brand out of 19 finalists in contention for the Blended Learning Solution category.
The category is open to all industries in Australia and recognises organisations who apply a combination of learning delivery mechanisms and methodologies which make an impact to improve the quality of outcomes for participants.
IUA’s Technical Pathway Program has, over the past few years, assisted close to 500 of its dealership technicians complete one of the dozen technical training courses on offer, both online and in-person at the automotive brand’s training facilities located in Melbourne and Brisbane.
“We are constantly evolving the training curriculum on offer and are honoured to be recognised as one of the finalists of this year’s AITD awards,” said IUA senior aftersales learning and development manager John Jones.
“An Australian Institute of Training and Development Award finalist nomination is an amazing level of recognition that reflects the both the effort of the training department and also the dedication of IUA to deliver such robust training to our network.
“While the nomination is quite the honour, it reflects the calibre of training facilitated by our team.
“We owe it to our technicians to offer the highest-level of training, as we owe that same commitment to the thousands of Isuzu drivers that trust our technicians to keep their vehicles on the road through our service centres.”
Australia’s top training programs will be named at the upcoming 2024 Australian Institute of Training and Development Excellence Awards Ceremony scheduled for October 10 in Sydney. Read more |
