TJM announces Ranger accessories line

Aussie-engineered off-road and touring accessories now available for new Ford Ranger

30 Aug 2022

TJM has this week announced details of its comprehensive range of accessories for the new-generation Ford Ranger.

The accessories – which TJM says are Australian engineered and class leading – include bullbars, side steps, rear bars, underbody protection, canopies, suspension lift kits and an Airtec snorkel, all of which are customer made for off-roading in Australian conditions.

“TJM’s engineers have custom designed each accessory to give you the ultimate performance from your new Ford Ranger,” said the company on its website.

“All of our accessories for the Ford Ranger go through rigorous, class-leading testing to ensure they are incredibly capable in extreme Australian conditions.”

TJM says its frontal protection is a “must have” for protecting the Ranger and its occupants and has tested the product locally to ensure ADR compliance and airbag compatibility.

The brand also offer modular side steps featuring highly durable alloy checker tread plate it says makes accessing the Ranger safer, easier and quicker than the factory steps, and rear protection constructed from 63mm diameter steel tubing and durable alloy tread plate to ensure extended protection and functionality – including 3500kg braked towing capacity – for the Ranger’s rear end.

Frameless fibreglass canopies are also currently available with tinted windows and colour coding to the complete range of Ford Ranger colours.

TJM says it is also working on a range of underbody protection and XGS lifted suspension to improve the Ranger’s clearance and load-carrying abilities.

A range of cargo carrying systems – for the roof and tray of the Ranger – are also available, as are sliding tray beds, roller tonneaus, bed dividers, and under-rail liners.

Amid the widespread hype and strong order book surrounding the T6.2 Ford Ranger, aftermarket manufacturers are stepping up to offer a plentiful range of accessories for eager Aussie buyers.

Ford’s partnership with ARB has seen some 160 Ranger-specific components rigorously evaluated by ARB and Ford engineers to ensure compatibility with the new model, while also providing best-in-class personalisation, optimal integration, and performance.

The collaboration between ARB and Ford was ongoing through the development of the Ranger, giving the brand a jump on its competitors in getting to market first.

All of ARB’s accessories and parts are covered under the Ranger’s five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, provided they are purchased and fitted at a Ford dealership.

ARB is also developing a similar range of parts for the Ford Everest, which is also due in showrooms soon.

Maxliner has moved to offer its own range of accessories for the Ranger which are now available for pre-order through distributors nationally.

Covering trade and recreational accessories, and manufactured at Maxliner’s Thailand production facility, the range includes exterior protection, canopies, multiple hard lid options, flares, door mouldings, and a suite of interior protection items.

“Whether customers are looking to use their Ranger to get their tools to and from the job site or get all the family's gear to the weekend camping spot, they want confidence that the products they invest in will get the job done,” the company said in a statement.
