Mercedes-Benz C-ClassW205 C-Class1 Aug 2014 Mercedes-Benz released its next-generation C-Class in August 2014, described as a “downsized S-Class”. Available at launch with three different variants, the base petrol C200, the more powerful C250 and the diesel-powered C250 BlueTec. Standard features in the new C-Class included satellite navigation, ambient lighting, keyless start, an electric parking brake, leather upholstery and active park assist. A wagon version of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class arrived on Australian shores in December 2014, alongside the C300 BlueTec Hybrid sedan. Wagon versions of the C-Class featured the same engine options as its sedan counterpart, while the new flagship sedan is powered by the same engine as the C250 coupled with an electric motor.
