Super TestCar reviews - Chrysler - Crossfire - SRT-6 rangeChrysler modelsOverviewChrysler's stove-hot Crossfire SRT-6 coupe and roadster deliver blown mumbo21 Jun 2005 WHEN the Crossfire first appeared about 18 months ago it got some ribbing for being a derivative vehicle based on the then seven-year-old Mercedes-Benz SLK architecture. We didn’t really mind. To GoAuto, it actually looked how the original SLK should have - aggressive, edgy and purposeful. Roll around to today and the Crossfire still has its detractors but it remains an endearing two-seater for its individual design. Now we’ve got the balls-out supercharged V6 version in SRT-6 guise - for Street and Racing Technology - with some serious performance muscle. With 246kW at 6100rpm and 420Nm of torque between 3500rpm and 4800rpm, it may finally silence the critics.
