Super TestCar reviews - Holden - Captiva - 5-dr wagon rangeHolden modelsOverviewHolden finally launches a proper SUV rival for the Ford's popular Territory11 Oct 2006 By CHRIS HARRIS There is a lot riding on Holden’s new Captiva four-wheel drive. This Australian-developed, Korean-sourced newcomer takes over from where the poorly performing Adventra left off. It adopts the "big wagon" style of the medium SUV brigade, with a tall body, upright high seating position and compact dimensions. Four models will be offered, and GoAuto managed to drive all the variants except the sporty Opel-inspired Maxx, which arrives next month. All models share a 3.2-litre Holden-sourced V6 that should shake up some of the four-cylinder Japanese offerings. Initial build quality is good, the price is right and equipment levels will shame some of its rivals.
