Road TestCar reviews - Lexus - RX - 350 Sports LuxuryLexus modelsOverviewLexus tech, luxury leaps forward with RX SUV but driving experience steps back24 Mar 2016 THE previous-generation Lexus RX was getting more than a bit long in the tooth by the time it was replaced by this edgy-looking successor, so anything the Japanese luxury brand did was bound to feel like substantial progress. And lo, upon entering the new RX cabin, cliche’d comparisons with rocketships could easily be made. The central screen, for example, is a veritable IMAX of the automotive world. It’s just as ultra-modern inside as the angular exterior styling would suggest. The last time re road-tested an RX350 we packed it with people and possessions for a long weekend away, so it was fitting that we did the same again. Shame then, that we returned feeling that the car’s many forward leaps had not been commensurately reflected in an improved driving experience.
