Super TestCar reviews - Nissan - Pulsar - ST 5-dr hatchNissan modelsOverviewIn Europe - where it is made - Nissan's N16 Pulsar hatch is known as the Almera13 Nov 2001 NISSAN'S latest Pulsar hatch favours style over the practicality that distinguished the previous, wagon-like version. The looks attract attention and the dynamic qualities are quite high, with a standard 1.8-litre engine and a well-sorted suspension. Dual front airbags, air-conditioning and remote central locking are all standard in the hatch - important considerations at this level of the market. The UK-built N16 hatch took a little longer to arrive Down Under, however, reaching our shores 12 months later in July 2001. There's no SSS version of the new hatch, with Nissan offering just the base ST (tested here) and the Q model. |
