Super TestCar reviews - Renault - Koleos - rangeRenault modelsOverviewSecond-generation Koleos sizes up as Renault gets big on value2 Sep 2016 CONSISTENCY is valued in any line of work – being good is arguably better than being great then bad – but consistency has not been consistently achievable for a brand such as Renault. Sizeable highs (the latest Clio and outgoing Megane RS) could spiral to dramatic lows (cue the Megane CC, Fluence and Latitude) with the Renault Koleos falling somewhere in between. Now, however, the second-generation Koleos has arrived with enough change to almost warrant a new nameplate. No longer is it flanked by the South Korean-built Fluence and Latitude, and although the new Koleos is still built in that market, its design gels with the European-made Clio and the new Megane due to arrive locally within six weeks. This Renault now looks consistently matched with its siblings. Landing in the ultra-popular medium SUV segment should not hurt the brand's sales aspirations one iota, but of course to succeed the Koleos first has to be good, and preferably consistently good.
