Super TestCar reviews - SsangYong - Actyon - 5-dr wagon rangeSsangYong modelsOverviewSsangYong aims directly at the compact SUV set with its boldly styled Actyon wagon23 Apr 2007 By CHRIS HARRIS SsangYong has thrown its hat into the compact SUV ring with the bold Actyon SUV. Built on a modified version of the ladder frame chassis from the Actyon Sports working class ute, the Actyon SUV was developed at limited cost to the South Korean car-maker. SsangYong says the Actyon, which starts at $29,990, will compete against highly respected models such as the Nissan X-Trail, Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, all of which are car-based wagons with mild AWD systems. The Actyon has a more serious four-wheel drive system which is good for off-road work, but not suitable for use on tarmac.
