Road TestCar reviews - Toyota - Avensis - GLX wagonToyota modelsResearch Toyota The Car10 Apr 2003 By BRUCE NEWTON THE Avensis Verso proves that a people-mover doesn't have to be completely bereft of style. Although still with a touch of the bread loaf about it, the Verso also injects a modicum of style thanks to a reverse-angle D-pillar and a clean execution. Inside there are seven seats in a 2-3-2 formation, the last row flipping up out of the floor to create extra luggage space underneath. There are two specifciation levels, the entry-level GXL and high-spec Ultima. They share the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine which is also seen in the RAV4 soft-roader, albeit in a different state of tune. Did you know?Four designs were submitted for the Avensis Verso and the one chosen was penned by Toyota's European Design Centre - based in the French Riviera and known as ED2All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
