Road TestCar reviews - Toyota - LandCruiser - 100 Series GXV 5-dr wagonToyota modelsThe Car26 Apr 2002 By BRUCE NEWTON IT's not hard to see the Cruiser wagon's origins in the GXV. Big, bluff and rugged, it follows the standard country-conquering formula of its predecessors, as well as rivals like Nissan's Patrol. Externally, the GXV can be separated from its cheaper brethren by alloy wheels, front foglights, a moonroof and black painted side and rear steps. Funnily enough, while the front and rear bumpers are painted, they are not body coloured. Did you know? The LandCruiser is now available with a choice of 4.5-litre petrol, 4.2-litre turbo-diesel and 4.2-litre normally-aspirated diesel, but the turbo-diesel is only available in the GXL and GXV model gradesAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
