Ford Everest made more capable by reaching BaseCamp

New factory accessory pack for Ford Everest promises enhanced off-road capabilities

29 Nov 2019

FORD Australia has launched a new $2000 Everest BaseCamp accessories pack for its flagship large SUV, designed to make the Everest even more capable off-road.

Available exclusively on the Trend 4WD, Ford says the new pack adds $6000 worth of equipment to its most popular variant, with fitting costs included in the $2000 asking price.

Included in the pack is a 76mm diameter black nudge bar, genuine Ford bonnet protector and snorkel, LED light bar, black roof-mounted carry bars, Pioneer platform, genuine Sunseeker awning and a genuine Ford tow bar rated to 3000kg for the 147kW/470Nm 3.2-litre five-cylinder engine and 3100kg for the 157kW/500Nm Bi-Turbo version.

Ford Australia and New Zealand president and chief executive Kay Hart said Ford was making it easier for customers to get adventure-ready features affordably and conveniently.

“We know that Everest owners have a keen sense of adventure, and the off-road, off-the-beaten track capability engineered into the Everest 4WD is something we know customers love about their vehicle,” she said.

More than 4500 Everests have been sold this year to the end of October, accounting for 5.1 per cent of the market share.

The Trend 3.2 4WD retails for $59,990 while the 2.0 Bi-Turbo 4WD can be had for $61,490 (both excluding on-road costs).

Ford says the accessories included in the pack can be retrofitted to previously purchased vehicles, but at the full cost of the desired parts ($6000 for the full BaseCamp pack), with the $2000 special price only available at the time of purchase.
