Mitsubishi introduced its ‘Dynamic Shield’ design aesthetic on the facelifted Outlander in 2015, bringing a bold new look to the mid-size SUV.
The update to the Outlander was the most expensive and extensive mid-life update in Mitsubishi history and came just over two years after the launch of the third-generation model after a luke-warm reception in the sales charts.
Specification names were tweaked – a new range-topping Exceed replaced the Aspire – and Mitsubishi upped the prices of some variants making it pricier than its key rivals from entry.
The CVT was revised and noise, vibration and harshness levels were improved over the model it replaced.
