Holden TraxMY13 Trax1 Sep 2013 Holden got the jump on most of its competitors by launching the Barina-based Trax crossover in mid 2013, ahead of the similarly positioned Ford EcoSport, Renault Captur and Nissan Juke. The high-riding city-friendly crossover was aimed at youth buyers and despite attracting a price premium over its mechanically similar Barina sibling, featured an extensive standard features list, including Holden’s MyLink infotainment system. The Trax was powered by the same 1.8-litre four cylinder unit from its Cruze stablemate. It produced 103kW/175Nm and gave the Trax official fuel consumption figures of 7.0L/100km when matched with a five-speed manual and 7.6L/100km with the six-speed auto. It was available in base LS and range-topping LTX guise and was awarded a five-star ANCAP safety rating. Read moreWhen it was new |
