The wagon version of the ninth-generation A4 will not be nearly as popular as Audi’s forthcoming new Q5 and nor is it even offered with a diesel engine locally. Yet the sight of an oiler-engined ‘estate’ or ‘Avant’ is ubiquitous around the Continent. Some even wear hubcaps. This 2.0 TFSI Sport is the antithesis of a base model with basic specification, though, particularly given that our test car arrived with $12,000 in options to almost empty the cupboard of cost-extras.
