Super TestCar reviews - Honda - Integra - 3-dr hatchHonda modelsSecurity28 Dec 2001 By BRUCE NEWTON THE new Integra features keyless remote central locking and a standard security system. The system allows the driver and passenger doors and rear hatch to be unlocked by pressing a button on the transmitter. The keyless entry system benefits from increased operating range - up to nine metres from the vehicle - and improved security. An engine immobiliser and alarm system is standard. A special electronically coded key prevents the car from being started - even if a mechanical duplicate of the key is used. A built-in transponder signals the immobiliser control unit that the key is genuine. Did you know?Integra sales were boosted significantly when the Type R hit the Australian market in October 1999.
