Road TestCar reviews - Hyundai - Terracan - Highlander 5-dr wagonHyundai modelsResearch Hyundai The Car14 Mar 2003 By BRUCE NEWTON TERRACAN lacks the flair and styling crispness of other recent Hyundais like the Tiburon sports coupe and the Getz mini car, maybe because it was styled in South Korea at the Namyang technical centre rather than being farmed out overseas. Hyundai has gone for the traditional medium off-roader boxy shape, borrowing elements from Toyota, Mitsubishi and Isuzu - and maybe Benz as well. The result is a predictable mish-mash. There are two versions, the Terracan and Terracan Highlander, the main real external difference bewteen them being the chrome grille and doorhandles on the upper-spec model shown here. Did you know?Terracan's name is a combination of the Latin "terra" for "land" and "khan", which in a variety of Asian languages means "ruler". Together, you get "land ruler"All car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
