Road TestCar reviews - Hyundai - Terracan - Highlander 5-dr wagonHyundai modelsResearch Hyundai OverviewIs Hyundai's Terracan Highlander more than just great value?1 Apr 2003 By BRUCE NEWTON NOT so long ago Hyundai sold tinny little cars at tinny little prices - and that was its lot in life. These days it has expanded into a model range that includes luxury cars, people-movers and even a serious off-roader - the Terracan. A weird name and unfortunate styling do not do a lot for initial impressions, but this is actually an off-road wagon worth considering. For a start, it can actually go off-road thanks to its traditional ladder chassis design. It also comes standard as a seven-seater so there's more space for the school run and, being a Hyundai, it is well equipped for the price - particularly the top-shelf Highlander version tested here.
