Super TestCar reviews - Jeep - Cherokee - Limited 5-dr wagonJeep modelsLuggage30 May 2002 By BRUCE NEWTON JEEP claims rear cargo volume of 821 litres for the Cherokee with the rear seats in place. Fold the 65/35 split-folding rear bench down and it frees up to 1950 litres. Access to the rear is provided by flipper glass and a tailgate that swings open horizontally from the left-hand side, making un/loading on the roadside a chore. Pull the latch all the way out and both doors open, half-way and just the glass raises. Pressing the cargo door button on the keyless entry transmitter or turning the key in the swing gate lock also opens the flipper glass. Did you know?Jeep admits actual luggage space compared to the old Cherokee is reduced, but at least you no longer have to worry about the spare tyre taking up space, as this is now mounted on the tailgateAll car reviewsAlfa Romeo Abarth Alpine Alpina Audi Aston Martin BMW Bentley Chevrolet Chery Citroen Chrysler Dodge Cupra Ferrari DS Ford Fiat FPV Foton GWM Great Wall Holden Haval HSV Honda Hyundai Hummer Isuzu Infiniti Jeep Jaguar Lamborghini Kia LDV Land Rover Lotus Lexus Maserati Mahindra McLaren Mazda Mercedes-Benz Mercedes-AMG Mini MG Nissan Mitsubishi Peugeot Opel Proton Porsche Renault Ram Rover Rolls-Royce Skoda Saab SsangYong Smart Suzuki Subaru Toyota Tesla Volvo Volkswagen |
